Every boxed Christmas Tree
will need some shaping & fluffing after delivery. In fact
all Christmas trees delivered or traveling in a box will need
some shaping and fluffing. Bringing your stored Christmas
tree back to life each year also demands a little talent.
Following these simple rules & your Christmas tree masterpiece
will be easy. The best way to shape & fluff your tree
is "by section". Start from the top of your tree.
The top main branch goes straight up in the air and this is
where your tree topper aka family treasure goes. Do not adorn
the tree until you are completely done with shaping.
As you work your way down,
from the top of the tree, the branches should continue to
point upward ...but gradually start bending more branches
outward. So by the time you reach 1/3 down the tree they are
only slightly bending upward. Almost all branchs are
fully wired so shaping gently upward is easy. You want to
gently pull the branch straight and then point it in the proper
direction.
Now we go to the bottom
of the tree. These branches are all slowly falling downward.?
The bottom branches are the heaviest on a real Christmas tree
so they should look like that on your artificial tree as well.?
Properly bent (falling downward) they will cover most of the
stand.
Next.. work your way back
up (from the bottom of the tree) toward the top of the tree,
bending each branch just slightly more upward then the last
When you arrive at the top third where we left off to shape
the bottom you should have the basic shape of a real Christmas
tree. Now the final touches separate the wired tips (coming
out of each branch) so your tree looks fuller! Step back a
couple of times to gauge and even the fullness.
Snow is heavy, so if you
have a flocked Christmas tree your branches should look a
little heavier (bending a little more downward then a unflocked)
the flocking gives your tree the look of fallen snow which
would pull the branches downward.
When you are finished you
will be able to step back and see that your tree now looks
many times fuller! Once the tree is symmetrically correct
began adornments.
